Multi-site risk transfer in southern New Jersey
Onesky Engineering, Inc. provided a comprehensive, custom-crafted solution for a portfolio of environmentally impaired sites in southern
An oil company needed an exit strategy for 33 sites, ranging from abandoned properties to thriving convenience stores that needed discreet clean-up. Onesky Engineering, Inc. inspected each site, completed a regulatory file review, conducted soil and groundwater investigations, and developed a closure approach for each site. We also developed detailed and technical cost proposals in order to arrive at an accurate cost and time-to-closure range to remediate the entire portfolio. Our strategy included scientific, engineering, legal, and financial tools tailored for each site, yet bundled to ensure economies of scale. Ultimately, we custom-crafted an $8 million risk transfer agreement, which provided our client with a comprehensive exit strategy for the affected portion of its real estate portfolio and environmental liabilities.
